Description

One-way clutches are traditional products of European technology that has been used in various applications, but revolution of production is brought from Japan, from Tsubaki Emerson Company which have product named “cam clutch”. Cam clutch is new standard in production of one-way clutches that make a difference between Tsubaki and competition which is most obviously in max. torque and durability

Usage

Usage of cam clutch is found in electrical transformations, ventilations, graphic and packaging industry. There are three basic types of usage of cam clutches, backslash, indexing and excess speed. For all three problems, Tsubaki have solution in standard production, all doe exists also option of custom made cam clutches that Tsubaki produce via technical drawing in reasonable quantities.
· Backslash
This kind of problem is most common in industry and there are many solutions which give wide range of solutions. For an example, ventilation system with free flow of the air need cam clutch to be installed because when motor is off, free flow of the air starts to turn ventilator in opposite direction and when motor is turned back on, it will burn down.
·
Indexing
Use of indexing is most common used in graphic and packaging industry where movement in specific steps is required during printing, pressing or cutting. One of the examples is cam clutch mounted on the eccentric driving axle which gives properly steps needed and length depends of diameter of the eccentric axle.
· Excess speed
This kind of problem appears at industrial applications where same axle is being rotated by two drives, for example, electric motor on one side and Moto reducer on other. Moto reducer is rotating axle within 100 rpm, than electric motor is engaged which rotates at approx. 1400 rpm. In transfer of speed from 100 rpm to 1400 rpm, cam clutch switch of transmission from reducer. When electric motor is disengaged and axle is slowing, when rotation arrives at 100 rpm, cam clutch, automatically engage transmission to Moto reducer. One of basic examples is also a bicycle.




Types

Types of one way cam clutches are adjusted for applications where are to be installed so that choice is simplified for users. Tsubaki technical department will help customers and recommend optimal cam clutch according they applications, but never by price.
